I can't believe how naive you are. The news rooms have been neutered by the entertainment divisions, the entertainment divisions are controlled by madmen whose only goal is to make as much money as possible for themselves.

The decision as to what "news" is is totally artificial. I have attempted strenuously to get the most recent former President of the Society of Professional Journalists to pay attention to the news that is available at Truthout, Buzzflash, Common Dreams, Media Whores Online, etc.

Of the dozens of important news items I've sent him, he's followed up on exactly none of them. He prefers to distract his local audience with endless gossip about a love affair that his state's Governor has just been "exposed" to have been involved in.

The corporate media is nothing but a pack of whores, panderers, voyeurs and sleight-of-idea liars.
