We were in a Cold War with the Soviet Union for about half a century. How many people did we have to hang? Did we take Gus Hall and Angela Davis out for a firing squad? No, we put them on a ballot. Did we send Armand Hammer to the gas chamber? No, we let him make money and collect art. Did we electrocute Lillian Hellman? No, we let her be. And we won anyway. All of your hysteria does little more than make you look ridiculous and besmirch the conservative cause.....
