If the death of 299 Americans means something to you, then how does what occurred decades earlier have any meaning to you. The Iraq invasion of Kuwait was a very stupid miscalculation by Saddam. The fact that 299 American died demonstrated Saddam was a real dangerous psychotic menace. Also America was now hated by Saddam beyond everything. America being hated by Saddam now is the change that makes a judgement point in history. The fact that clearly dangerous psychotic delusions led saddam to not back down and led to the events that cost 299 Americans lives changed the game. The death of 3000 Americans on 911 makes a judgement point in history. Clearly you donot understand the scale and scope of these points. Events occur and some event mean all bets are off the table and it's a new game. Whining over who made what bet before the event is waste. What is the new game in town and what is your position.
