I assume you're talking about the Dev site?

You wrote your post at 1:16. At 15 minutes after every hour, the Dev site clears all of its subjectmarks and reimports them from scratch from the production site. This is necessary because that table contains the number of the latest message you've read in each subject, which changes frequently.

There are other events that take place on the hour, and at 5 and 10 minutes after the hour.

By the time you read this, all of your subjectmarks are likely intact again.
