shean, sorry i havent written...i have been out of town where there is no local access number...hard to believe... i am thoroughly enjoying the discussion...it really makes you think... i am impressed...i havent had time to dive into this...this thread is excellent.... briefly....i remember reading somewhere your argument and hagstroms...the change is calc is significant.....i remember reading that to do a brief calculation buffett said (this is second hand from the author who wrote this) to approximate the value of a company take the sum of the earnings and divide by the disct rate....the problem is i dont recall the counter argument...the one hagstroms bases his calc's on... lets keep this going...i will try find some answers too.... lars
