If you are a full-time trader and are playing with, say, $100,000, $1000 a month for the quality picks is a bargain any way you look at it.

Even if you are not a day trader, $85 a month is very reasonable. If nothing else, look at it as tuition. One year of undergrad at a private university costs $30,000 these days, or $3750 a month (8 month school year). If you happen to choose something that's not technical or applied, you may pay $120,000-$150,000 for four years so you can graduate to work at Burger King. People pay $5000+ for database courses and $6000+ for MSCE training. Think about that.
