Yes, we all need to remember that the overriding problem in this country right now is that the plutocrats have taken control of the country. We are in fact, a plutocratic oligarchy. It is impossible to argue that we are not. Bernie Sanders has this problem as the thesis of his campaign.

If we don't wrest control from the plutocrats, they will just continue to gain power and hegemony over the rest of us. We saw this in the late 1800s, the Gilded Age, when Teddy Roosevelt took a stick to the plutocrats and broke them up to a large degree. Then we saw it again in the 30s when FDR did the same thing.

The plutocrats always gain power, increasingly over the years because they have the money to gain power. And so every once in a while the government, our democratic government, has to impose rules that ensure fairness for the entire population.

Bernie understands that cold and I don't think Hillary does for all of her fancy politicking.

I only wish the right-wingers had the ability to understand the problem is not big government, the problem is very powerful plutocrats using our society for their personal enrichment; and at the expense of the poor and the middle class.
