<<Philips Consumer Electronics has arrived at the CeBIT exhibition with 48 "product announcements" covering everything from DVD video players to a Windows CE 2.0 version of the company's handheld PC, a palmtop PC, mobile and smart phones, a screen phone and large LCD monitors for desktops.

"The future will see many more digital products."

Dunn acknowledged that a lot of the products being introduced have a high degree of overlap. For example Philips is, or will be, offering Internet TV browsers, a PC/TV, set-top-box decoders and integrated digital-television receivers and DVD video players. These are all based on MPEG video decoding and many will offer some combination of TV display and Internet connection via a modem.>>

For those of you who believe in the economic theory that supply leads demand, things are beginning to unfold with a huge assortment of mpeg devices being geared up to hit the marketplace.
