Mark, Thanks for your reply. I first comment about the correctness of your mail, the initial sentance. Intel had never dipped to $45, the lowest it went was $49 (because of fears of Network PC taking over) after its peak at $77. At that time I was bullish on intel & bought exactly 2000 shares at $55. Unlike you I am not holding them and have sold them a $83 as I still think that's the top and it will not break through but only fall. What has intel really to offer, a really fault free good selling processor. But for how long they can maintain the profits the market expects with one product, its a matter of time before it is flat & by the way I think at some point in future the Network PC will fly off posing againg a big threat. P7 is still too far away & its any ones guess how well there be a smooth migration. Ofcourse the S/W vendors are not going to adapt there products to P7, so long they are selling well on Pentium or Alpha. About MMX, I don't have much hope. Intel is new to multimedia sound and video. There are a lot of companies with years of experience in 3D graphics, sound, MPEG and all sort of H/W coding/decoding algorithms. MMX has to be complient to all these plugins and that is simply not possible, so I am sure you will not see it coming wide spread on the market. Sure Intel is a good company with lot of talent, all I am saying is, it will take a while to adapt to the market, and you may see a dip.
But as I said againg I can be very wrong..
