Could somebody explain one thing to me - why does Apple announce new products which can only be delivered months in the future? I don't think most people are going to buy the new superdrive-based iMac. However, most people would be interested in the basic new model but it'll only ship in 2 months. Frankly, I think many people who really want a new computer won't wait for March deliveries and will probably just go for the best deal on a Wintel system. It sure doesn't seem like Apple is really trying hard to attract new converts with this strategy.
