Neil, Your statement "no other supplier can market this technology to Heidelberg or the QMDI press owner" is contrary to antitrust law.
No agreement can prevent any one from marketing a compatible product to the end user. If your source is someone at Prst which I doubt, they will confirm this.
As far as compatible plates are no concern to PRST, I suggest you read their 10k on competition. Admittedly, a required disclosure, but if mgmt has no concern for this, than I'll double my short position, because any management that arrogant as to competition is headed for disaster.
Still waiting for your breakdown of the $2bln digital market. If you don't know, admit it. If you do, please share the information. Hype is nice, but facts are king.
By the way on page B6 of the Wall Street Journal, is the Hdlbrg/Kodak article and the following is directly from that:
"Kodak .....is a leading supplier of digital printing plates, film, paper and other printing supplies. Joining with Heidelber[er] sic based in.... will provide Kodak with image setters and other expensive and sophisticated press-manufacturing equipment to complete the printing process and provide "one stop shopping"
Neil, have you seen this so called exclusivity agreement between Hdlbrg and Prst, if so share with all of us the source, and the actual language, its important to both your fellow longs and the shorts.
Just to be redundant, still waiting for the $2bln dollar digital market break-down.
