The more I think about how this happened, the more I believe that one of the factors was that many people, including myself, tend to make bad decisions when they are angry. Fairly early in my career in business I learned not to do that. I believe that a chunk of the electorate was so angry that they just made bad decisions when they voted. It will come back to haunt them, I suspect.
