Craig, The parent company and the spin-off company staff would own 100% of its stock at the beginning. But we should expect to give up about half (usually done by issuing new shares of preferred stock) as part of venture capital funding.

Yes the parent company will experience continued dilution as staff cycle through to spin-offs. But that should be more than compensated by continued growth in company assets.
