Well, looks like everybody has been avoiding this site for the last week, so I will prop it up.
There is bad news out there, Intel shareholders. Compaq has announced at COMDEX that it has discovered a "problem" with a high speed Pentium, connected with networking. Compaq is delaying assembly and shipping of this class of computers, and both companies are working on the problem. The source is at www.pathfinder.com, COMDEX news.
So, I would say, that's it for our INTC this year; this news will be hard to overcome, we need something big to stop the slide of the stock. Do I hear another downgrade???? Or is the problem way too small? Anyway, technology has truly turned into a killing field, and one needs guts and trust to stay in.
Two weeks ago things looked so differently, now we are where we were in September. We really need this Thanksgiving break. The problem is some tech investors will have nothing to thank for buy then ... maybe. |
