These are the other lines that make me think we're seeing a competitive system. Hopefully much too late to the party though. "Sony and Fuji Photo said that Alps Electric Co Ltd (6770.T) and TEAC Corp (6803.T) have already expressed interest in the new system. Sony and Fuji Photo also said that they would propose the system's basic specifications to personal computer and computer drive makers and that they will display the new system at the COMDEX/Fall '97 trade show to be held in Las Vegas in November. "
