actually we should consider this as an opportunity. it uses the same technology as the 100mg Zip, ATOMM. Since the drive is 200mg with ATOMM read write technology, the same as the zip, it is quite possible that this particular drive will make the Zip the standard that everyone has been hoping for. if IOM licenses the technology from SONY as they did for the Zip, then a future version of the Zip 100 also becomes backwards compatible. this is speculation, but speculation based on speaking with IOM about this system this a.m.
