My question is whether there is a quantitative scale for classifying mining project size. "District-size" can mean anything big but that doesn't help me with valuation. If you are familiar with oil fields, there is an order of magnitude scale that goes up to supergiant (1 billion barrels reserves). I am looking for something like that and I haven't found it. I get the feeling that mining size/operations is just inherently more uncertain than o&g size/operations.
