Hal, I don't think movement in stock price would affect equity (book value). The principal changes to equity are gain/loss from operations, issuance of stock (or conversion of redeemables), stock option exercise, and some other misc stuff. Change in stock price is irrelevant (except if it encourages redeemable preferred conversion or stock option exercise). While I think I'm right, I am confused by their statement that their plan is dependent on equity market conditions. So maybe I'm wrong. But if not, maybe they're going to issue stock of some sort. Do you think this is the announcement Count was forecasting?
