There is always so much stuff running around about how Merced and NT will finish off the IBM Enterprise Server world (awright... Mainframe/MVS)
that I just have to post this note from Tony Viola of the Intel thread to put things into perspective. The Y2K problem (AKA, the end of civilization as we know it) will be a blip compared to the Merced/NT end of mainframes scenario.
