I have been following your posts closely and I admire your determination in uncovering the truth here. Rhodes is deliberately trying to destroy the company, I am now certain of this.
I have heard more incriminating thing about Rhodes that I would like to post them here. These are from a very reliable source.
Rhodes sabotaged/deaulted on many of the original merger agreements which were reagrding the collection of thousands of herb and to open a great herb data base to the West. ALso, Nelson Campbell, Colin Campbell's son was promised to be the President of the company but Rhodes was appointed President in 1994. Campbell was Paracelsian contact in the West. Campbell was highly regrarded among his Chinese collegues. I also learned about this connection when I fortuitously met Fran Peterson, who had Campbell as his mentor at Cornell. Peterson had travelled to China with Campbell and his son to trips to collect Chinese herbs. ANyway, Rhodes sought to sabotage this connection. Rhodes travelled to China with Campbell and was deliberately rude and offensive to the Chinese. He purposely irritated Campbell. Rhodes wanted to completely run the show.
Not only did the company not pay Nelson, they didn't even pay him. Only when Cambpell threatened to go public with this information, only then did Nelson start to get paid. This was in Spring/Summer 95.
Things got from bad to worse. A very exciting prospect had come up. The possibility of Chinese compounds as cosmetics. Campbell had apparently some promising leads in this area. He even met with Newskin and they were so excited about the prospects they gave him $40,000 to start off a collaboration to study the cosmetics. Even more attractive is that such products only need to be proven safe (noty efficacious like drugs). Rhodes completely ignored this tremendous potential.
Around Jan 97, Campbell starting bringing up Rhodes sabotaging the company in fronmt of the Board. At that time, Babish was aligned with Rhodes, and the Board couldn't get rid of Rhodes. It was not compeltely Babish's fault since he was lied to and manipulated by Rhodes. Campbell got Rhodes and Jack Reilly to admit to lying about the company - in writing as I have obtained! Now even Babish couldn't back Rhodes. Babish (in disgust/chagrin?) resigned and sold his shares. Campbell still couldn't get Rhodes out, so he resigned in disgust as well.
Worst of all, we have been lied to reagrding the FDA blocking the launch of AndroVir. It turns out the FDA is not as concerned as we were led to believe. The FDA did meet with the company, but it was only to go over some cautions about how to label their product to make sure no claims were made. The problem regarding "safety" is a lie. The press release was garbage. Just read it over again.
Again, Rhodes (and perhaps a few other individuals such as Jack Reilly) have delibertately sabotaged the company. Maybe Rhodes never meant to go the "dietary" supplement route, but only to use this as a delay.
Rhodes is wrecking the company. He apparently intends to leave it a shell. And WHY is this? What can be his motivation? I have learned that an analysis of PRLN trading has revealed stock manipulation. The SEC is investigating. I'm not sure what is taking them so long. This case seems very obvious to me. Rhodes is guilty. Reilly is guilty. It appears that they are trying to conduct a careful, thourough investigation. The scope of this may be larger than we realize.
