Hi Jack: About the drivern by news I thinks your mostly right
on that hardly nothing is 100%, the problem I'v had with the news
is that it seems she can go up even in the face of bad news..people
just don't want to belive it or something..and if a big boy is ready
to sell you'l get good news and she'l go down..mostly the news will
effect her if it comes from outside her own press releases..
AS far as the index goes it may not be worth a flip to tell what
she will do..but I don't fight a index here or on any of them,
if I'm buying a blue chip I want to see the index going my way
at least at the time. Got caught in too many reversals bucking
the trend of an index relitive to what I want..if it's a utility
I want to see the DOW UT moving in an up direction..I have caught
stocks as they were going down but like to see the index going
up when I buy, and not worry about bad sentiment making my problem
any worse..to go aginst the market is like trying to go up an
esculator thats full of people going down. Same with taking a short
position..I don't like to do it with the rest of that sector taking
off.
Back to AOL looked at the interday chart, not real sure of myself
now..but she still looks ( short term weak ) at her level. Shows
decreasing volume as she went up.
Other thing is I saw that 200 contract put go through on the open
this morning..maybe it's just someone nervious and wanting to lock
in some profits in case she falls..went at $3 so they are pat for
$52 no matter what she does..but that maynot be big money, but it's
a more money than I ever bet on her all put together...<G>
She did not drop down today like yesterday..looks like the average
ticket traded hands about 54 or 54 -1/2, another day or so like
that and she might put in a new base at about 53..I figure the
old one at 50. Where are thoes dogone profit takers ?
