Larry, I like to apply what I call "Crash Value" to the market by taking the lows at a significant bottom 20-30 years ago and apply historic returns to extrapolate future crash values. I've found this quite useful in Sept. You might want to check it out, maybe starting with 1982. I think people that bought COMP 5000 will have to wait until at least 2010-12 before their buying prices are locked in for good.
