Netflyer...Gerald might be more effective in his comments, if he were to address the point you made. That is, when you buy a PC, you are forced to pay for the OS, whether you want to use it or not.. And ONLY because MSFT is able to exercise it's monopoly power beyond that LEGALLY permitted....
The judge made that point and many of us have complained about just that phenomenon in the past. When I bought my last computer, I would have preferred to have had ANY O/S other than Windows 98 --- even Windows 95. But I had no such choice...and if I DID, I would still have had to pay for Windows 98. That is monopoly power misplaced. And Microsoft won't get to do it in the future,,,,thank god..
