max90: If those rumors are true, it will have major implications and I will be a buyer. It is very difficult to get your foot in the Bell door but once in the Bells are like lemmings and I would think AINN will grow to the next level. Years ago (like 25) DEC got its start by selling a few mini-computers to Bell for some operational support systems. The rest was history and although DEC latter lost its way, they became a force because of their Bell business. On the other hand, I do not put much stock in the rumors I saw posted on Yahoo. I know how the Bells work and while it is significant that the 4800 is being tested (and it is not to difficult to verify this - heck the earnings statement mentioned this) procurement is always tight lipped. Those involved face dismissal if any word is leaked. If there are truth to these rumors it must be coming from AINN.
I will keep my fingers crossed for Monday because, at least in the case of US West, my understanding is that they are close to making some kind of decision.
