Stuart, SOES is a special system enabling you trade share lots of up to 2000 shares and be assured that your order will be filled "At Market",within seconds of your pushing the buy key. The order wont be delayed, the price wont change you get exactly what you ordered. There is a SOES thread if you want to find out more about the technical details. You need to work through a broker that will give you access to SOES system.

Yea, I'm looking to make between $500 and $2000 per trade. Most times I trade out with only an 1/8 or break even. When the trade goes aginst me I'm lucky to get out with 1/2 more often 1.00 loss. From my experience you have to be able to do a minimum of 3 good trades for every bad trade otherwise the Spread just eats your lunch. For this reason you also need to pick stocks where the spread is small and the price is reasonably high (above $30) it works even better with stocks trading at over $100. The problem with $100 stocks is that you need up to $200,000 capital (or whatever eqivalent that translates into on your margin account).

The most important thing from my limited experience is that you need to close out loosing positions real quickly or otherwise you can loose some serious money, when the market turns against you.
