I bought into the stock years back when McCaw invested and lost mula. I came from the telco industry....PCS carriers which are now emerging certainly have an edge as their phone set is typically able to operate in many different protocols which makes it less likely to become obsolete. Nextel's system and protocols are very specific and proprietary...customers communication set is limited to Nextel, otherwise, it's a VERY expensive paper weight. Geotek is another mahvalus example.
