Our government and our military always repeat the mistakes of the past, and for good measure they usually make new ones. The military is as incompetent as any other business, it just happens to be in the business of killing, so their incompetence is more problematic for some of us. But not for all of us. Some of us blithely care not who we kill, as long as they are foreign. Which is probably exactly the way the terrorists feel. I see very little difference between "them" and many of "us."

Not saying you feel this way.

But that post about "I don't care about how many Afghani dead there are" was abysmal, imo.
