It's a pity that we can't see all possible options. If we could, I'm sure that Vegas would run a book on them. Personally, I'm quite happy with what's happening. There's no perfect answer to dealing with terrorists and criminals. I'm tired of Clinton bashing, but apparently he was warned by several people not to pardon the Puerto Rican terrorists as this would be a signal to terrorists that we don't deal with them seriously and this might have made them more willing to go ahead with the 9/11 attacks. The historians will get to make that call.
