[World DRAM Price] DRAM Spot Prices Remain at US$8 Level January 19, 2000 (TOKYO) -- The 30-day rolling average spot price for 64Mb DRAM microchips until Dec. 24, 1999 remained around US$8 in three major regional markets -- the United States, Europe and Asia.
Prices for large users have not shown any noticeable fluctuations, and the spot prices continue to stay lower than those for large users.
A worldwide DRAM price survey conducted by ICIS-LOR, based in London, Houston and Singapore, showed that the 30-day rolling average prices of 64Mb DRAMs (PC100 8M x 8) for large users until Dec. 24, 1999 (Nov. 25-Dec. 24) was US$10.96 in North America, US$10.85 in Europe and US$11.00 in Asia. (105.22 yen = US$1) Compared to the previous week, they fell by 1.14 percent in North America, 1.81 percent in Europe and no change was observed in Asia.
As for prices of memory modules, the spot price of 64Mb dual inline memory modules (PC100) fell 3.91 percent from the previous week to US$68.78, and declined 5.00 percent to US$70.35 in Europe as well, whereas it fell 4.28 percent to US$67.10 in Asia. |
