Edify Corporation, the leading provider of self-service software, has announced that it has entered into an alliance with Hewlett-Packard to offer customers comprehensive and security- enhanced Web banking solutions. This follows Edify's recent announcement in the US that it has signed an agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company to support HP's VirtualVault security solution as part of Edify's fully integrated Web banking offering. Also, under the terms of that agreement, Edify has become an HP Independent SoftwareVendor (ISV) Partner and Edify products will be promoted as part of HP's offerings or electronic commerce solutions. Edify's support of HP VirtualVault expands Edify's security offerings, building on its comprehensive strategy for security.
"The recent breach of ActiveX security by the German hackers club has highlighted the importance of protected online transactions. The partnership between HP and Edify offers the best of both worlds - the industry's leading security system together with comprehensive customer and employee self service on the Web," said Chris Thompson, HP's Retail Programmes Manager, Financial Services Europe.

Edify first introduced the Electronic Banking System in May 1996. EBS is a self-service application product that offers a comprehensive suite of electronic banking services that enable fully branded personalized service on the World Wide Web. The Edify Electronic Banking System includes a fully integrated application suite for Web banking; multiple electronic delivery options including telephone, fax and personal financial managers; and visual development tools for rapid customization and integration with a wide range of back-office systems.
