Hynix Semiconductor quarterly profit declines By Sarah Turner marketwatch.com SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Hynix Semiconductor Inc. said that its fourth-quarter net income totaled 110 billion won ($98.6 million), compared to 657 billion won in the year-ago period. Net income was hurt by net interest, as well as non-operating charge mainly from a lost legal case, the firm said. Sales in the fourth quarter totaled 2.75 trillion won, compared to 2.8 trillion won last year. Fourth-quarter DRAM average selling prices declined 28% while bit shipments climbed 18% quarter-on-quarter. NAND flash average selling prices declined by 12% and bit shipment rose 32% quarter-on-quarter.
