Airport concourses evacuated as security screener sleeps

ananova.com

Four of the five concourses at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport have been evacuated after a security screener fell asleep at his post.

Thousands of travellers were delayed.

Airport spokesman Bob Parker says there's no indication anything happened.

The screener was apparently asleep between eight and 30 minutes.

He was stationed at the exit from one of the stations on the underground train system linking the terminals.

It's not know if there will be any action taken against him.

Twenty-three incoming flights were delayed.

Sea-Tac averages about 80,000 passengers a day during the holidays.
