It's coming, feel it in my bones. Natural gas prices will begin to edge up
as a result. Come January , I think US reserves will be low. I don't think
oil price will react in same manner. I think our friends in Alberta have
experienced a snow storm already.

Kerms Korner? Richard ribbed me on that also. It appears as though I'm
becoming a junkie and hog of informational listing, doesn't it? I'm trying
to catch up on postings I missed while my computer was down. I like
this location and I think there are quite a few knowledgable people that
comment here.

I believe we, as a group, might be a notch above most subject material
topics. I've been wanting to post attention to our site on an assotment
of newsgroup locations with objective to get Canadian oil industry people
participating with us. I would also go after Canadian investment
professionals. These people, along with investors like ourselves, would
really round out a solid group in terms of perspective and information in
regards to activity in the Canadian oilpatch.

As example, I would like to discuss hot areas of exploration in Western
Providences of Canada, such as the Midale play Berkley Petroleum is
involved with. Someone with access to information could tell us what
other companies have land in close proxmitity to that current activity.
I was turned off to exploration in Saskatchewan because I was seeing
companies experiencing unexpected production declines with their
shadow wells. Ballistic Energy is a good example and Richland
Petroleum another. Berkley bucked the trend and went deeper in
drilling depth with extraordinary results. So, who else is in position who
can benefit from this success. People in the industry know, or can
find out.

And then there are the financial people in the industry. I would like to
ask someone how calculations are made to arrive at reserves based
upon various discounted percentages, 15%, 20% etc.. This way I
can put all companies on a level playing field. Anyone know how they
arrive at their numbers.

I've been unable to contact these newsgroups because my computer
e-mail program is screwed up. For those of you who use newsgroups,
do us a favor and mention this site. Groups should include;
sci.geo.petroleum, sci.geo.geology, sci.energy, misc.invest.canada,
misc.invest.stocks and whatever you find that is subject orientated.
Help! Would really appreciate it.

I'm in no way an authority, just a guy digging into a subject I'm gung-ho
on. (An Ex-Marine's expression) I feel all of you desire to learn and
know more of the industry and that's why I list all these postings. I just
feel I should also be a contributor. I am very satisfied when people say
thank you for what I volunteer and also approach the questions that I
have. The ole give and take. What's a friend for if you can't use
him/her. Someone said that to me years ago and it stuck with me.

Had to go back and change title of this reply. As usual, I got carried
away with this subject.
