so far my playing with TI has been limited to creating one drive image of win2000 partition last night.

happy to report that i loved the windows interface and it all seems pretty intuitive.

but the image took about 25 minutes to create where the same approx compression ratio in DI would have taken about 10 minutes max.

perhaps that's the price i have to pay for not booting into DOS.

as for image integrity testing, i have downloaded an executable file named, guess what, checkimage.exe from the TI site. haven't run it yet, though.

i was informed that the "congratulations you've successfully created an image" dialog is, in fact, the embedded integrity test, and if you get that screen, your image is fine.

i'll post any other TI program details and impressions i discover, now that i see at least one other thread member has an interest. i posted the $9.99 particulars to make it easy (and inexpensive) for others to try the software.
