Those are good questions, but it is Victoria's accounting model.
My reply to Dr. VG was contained in the .wav file

VG can be a bit cryptic sometimes, but I think this is what she meant:

AMD has been fatally wounded.
It is bleeding profusely.
It has about 6 mos to 1 yr to live.
Sorry, but there is nothing the doctor can do.
