I suppose this whole AVNT thing has been amusing at points.

At the company where I once worked, we had an on-site seminar by an expert in circuit layout and place-and-route software. He started talking casually about some of his current research then sort of changes topic slightly and mentions that he was once called as a special witness in lawsuit between companies A*** and C**. He was asked to look at some software being sold company A*** to see if it had be stolen from company C**. As he was looking over the code he noticed something very familiar. I can't remember his exact words, but it goes something like this -- "I wrote this code!!! these are my subroutines I developed!!!". Well, he didn't work for company C**, but he had developed one of the first effective place-and-route algorithms at a university. I guess one can credit company A*** for finding a way to generate revenues from it in a sleazy way.

I don't really have anything to say about CDN, except looking back a while, the ex-CEO Joe what's-his-name left CDN rather suddenly to work for Michael Milkin doing one thing or another. Then a year or two later the bottom fell out of CDN and the stock has been sick ever since. I guess Joe saw this coming and bugged out.
