This is a good example of a song that was never played on hit radio, but got a big following in 1974 due to the emergence of AOR (album oriented rock). Supertramp's "Bloody Well Right" from the album "Crime of the Century." In fact, I think this album was the top AOR album in 1974.

The intro to this song is so long, it would never get downloaded if it were released new today.

Part of this new trend is due to the removal of gatekeepers like DJ's, program directors, and record company payola couriers.
