In New England, they burned the witches---making it impossible for them to speak again. Does taking away the privilege of access to SI do the same thing? Another thing they did here was stoning. Have you ever seen or read the play "The Lottery"? These extreme measures were very effective. Freedom of speech was cut off real fast. What price freedom? democracy? free marketplace of ideas?
