larry, japan has made dumb investments before but buying mu for $5-7 billion would be super dumb. btw, after spending $5-7 billion do you really think they would mothball mu? think about it. larry, you could receive $400-$500 million in very secure investments just by deciding NOT TO BUY MU. there are too many fabs no matter who owns them. they are so expensive that they MUST run. that is why this business is so vicious. YOU CAN'T WALK AWAY WITHOUT COMPLETELY GIVING UP - hence the term no limit poker game. mu becomes a buyout target at $4 (and dropping rapidly). if you didn't know before, now you know.
