I also think that unless you're in a hurry you can probably get a better deal on a Dell. Dell periodically runs special deals on desktops (2-3 times a month). If you keep an eye on this site they'll clue you in on Dell deals along with coupons that Dell issues that can lower the price or include free shipping (or both). techbargains.com Look at the top left side of the page for Top System Deal. Right now Dell is running a deal on a 2.2 GHz Celeron. They are also offering a Dimension 4600 Pentium 4 Intel 865PE chipset Desktop. Pentium 4-2.4Ghz/533Mhz Bus 256MB Dual channel DDR 333 Memory/30GB 7200RPM HD, Free 48x CD-RW, Ethernet, 6 months ISP, Integrated 5.1 channel audio, XP Home $599 - $100 rebate = $499 shipped free. On board serial ATA, AGP8x. But if you're patient you should (might) be able to do better. Check techbargains every day or two.
