BABA has the misfortune of being strategic to China and also being the most favored of the Chinese stocks by the hedge funds.

So it is not going to resume uptrend until one of 3 things happen:

(1) It drops at least 20% from here, likely 30+%
(2) It builds a base and starts climbing slowly
(3) China changes their stance on them.

So long as it is trending, it will be trending down.
