M2 System Product Line to Feature Prodigy Internet as Exclusive ISP
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 1999--For years the computing community dreamed about it, and now it's here: high tech at a low price.
With sub-$1,000 computers representing over 40% of the personal computer market, EBIZ Enterprises, Inc. (OTC BB:EBIZ - news), a rapidly growing e-commerce company, and Prodigy Communications Corporation (Nasdaq/NMS:PRGY - news) are joining forces to offer families an affordable way to surf the Web, send e-mail, track finances, and do homework.
The two companies announced today an exclusive agreement to bundle Prodigy Internet on all of the EBIZ M2 computer systems. EBIZ's nationally recognized M2 System line offers Internet-Ready Multimedia computing power with the industries lowest sub-$500 pricing strategies. Some of the locations where M2 Systems are currently available are Fred Meyer, Computer Renaissance, Egghead.com, Yahoo.com, DealDeal.com, and ONSALE. All M2 Systems PC's will be pre-installed with the Prodigy Internet software bundle.
