If xDSL modems become a mass consumer product I'm sure usrx would get into it, they probably did already and just not announcing it.
And if the DSL's become a viable or profitable product USRX will probably do what other network companies do... just buy out a company that has a good ASDL technology and use usrx marketing power to become the number 1 player in this market also.

They did that with Megahertz, and the Pilot palm computers.
They will probably do the same with an ASDL company.

Modems to me are not usrx's main concern, I think their main concern is the dial up internet market...new vultures came into play recently, Cisco and Cascade or Shiva just entered the market.
If usrx can keep their positions in this market they will achieve their goal of 5 by 2, or 5 billion in revenue by the year 2000.
Although I think at their current rate I think they will achieve that by 1998.

This company has great growing fundamentals, stay for the ride.
