Conference Call with Manny Villafana was very interesting today. Revenues up 33%, profit up 201%, quarter ending March 31, 1997. The American trials are going on at four hospital, two in Minnesota, one in Miwaukee, and one in Lanhaster, PA. He says this wil go on for the next 1-1 1/2 years. In the meantime they will concentrate on the other 45% of the world wide market. Japan is just starting to gear up since last July. First Call had them at .02/share for March ending; they did .03. Zacks has them rated a 1(Strongest ). Manny said they are taking market share ouside the U.S. at a rate of five times the normal growth rate; mainly at the cost of St.Jude. They have done 15,000 implants to dte without a failure. Mannny said this is unheard of. The stock has been uder pressure with a low of 5 7/8 within the last few days. I bought at 6 1/8. Just checked, it is now 7. The purpose of the conference call was to re- assure investors. It is the first time they have done this.
