No...I think that "heroic" segments of our society are alienated by an attempt to abandon our "heroic society" and replace it with a "personnel management society"...(or say a clinical society)... Gun control, product liability and civil suit lawyers, aggressive personnel management across society, marketing of political issues and shared political support, effects of an information society on the individual, all these things and others... A study by a group of sociologists is a good example of the void between different types of people and interests in our society...For many its just baseball season...
