Filed for bankruptcy and plans to continue operations.
What are the chances my shares will be worth anything going forward ?

PHOENIX, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Fiber optic infrastructure company International FiberCom Inc. (NasdaqNM:IFCI - news) on Thursday said it filed for bankruptcy protection as part of its efforts to sell off assets.

The Phoenix-based company said it filed on Wednesday to reorganize using Chapter 11 protection under the U.S. bankruptcy code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. It said on Tuesday it might seek bankruptcy court protection.

International FiberCom repeated that it received a number of bids on Feb. 8 for the purchase of assets, and the board has authorized management to pursue discussions with several bidders.

The company said the bankruptcy filing is part of its plan, as a debtor-in-possession and subject to court orders, to deal with its debt, manage its business and sell assets. It said it plans to continue operations.
