Ed:

I had the same affliction today. Between watching nxtl and icos, I did not get much else done. Early in the day, the stock was moving nicely up to the 25 level, then bang, the big blocks started hitting the market. Down to 22.5 and she started back up, then again the big blocks started coming. Someone is selling into the market. Could be the wife or it could be a conservative fund manager sitting on a big profit. The fund manager may be looking at nextel as a high leverage deal vulnerable to a possible recessionary impact as a result of the slowdown that is sure to come from the meltdown in Asia. Just speculating, but someone is unloading a lot of stock. By the same token, there are plenty of buyers lined up at these current prices.
I agree with you that either the selling is going to end or the stock faces a possible breakdown to the levels suggested by you.
