Cleaning laptop displays and other monitors. Bill/WA, I've used several commercial products over the years, but for my desktop monitors, TV screens particularly those with a matrix (like Hitachi's), and laptop displays, I use white vinegar diluted in warm water applied with a soaked but well wrung out cotton t-shirt cloth then wiped with a clean non-impregnated optical lens cleaning cloth obtainable at optomotrists, LensCrafters, etc. Stubborn spots around the screen I use isopropyl alchohol on a cotton swab (use same for keyboards keys) and before I clean any of the above I use canned air especially around edges of the screen (and crevices of keyboards).
