Kat,

We've begun expressing opinions here, and I guess mine is about as worthless as the next (gg), so I'll suggest that settling the election will not settle the market.

I feel the odds that AG will "go neutral" are about 3:1 against. Winter is still ahead (energy costs), we're seeing hints of layoffs (profit squeeze), and if Christmas sales increase (exhuberant consumer spending), he will have no incentive to back off. The last increase is just now beginning to hit the economy, so I am husbanding my cash.

If there is an election rally, Dec 16 FOMC meeting will pinch it off, IMO.

Further, I feel in my bones that December and January will being more "profit warnings", and another leg down from here.

I'm waiting for a warm Spring, and a late one at that.

Chaz
