Terry, You may be right. Certainly wouldn't hurt to have a techie to head Zenith when competing in the STB and cable-modem wars. Those are battles to be fought in the trenches, hand-to-hand, with the most knowledgeable and fiercest fighters prevailing.

Another ceo model is the Al Dunlap type. Concentrate on cutting ALL fat, focus on key sectors and innovative products and work like hell to enhance shareholder value.

Still another is a dynamic spokesperson who could sway consumers to buy Zenith's CE products, with LGE, in the background, calling the essential shots to ZE's recovery.

The worst possible scenario for Zenith shareholders is for LGE to have the board select an LGE stooge. This would result in a very possible Samsung /AST Research scenario.

The best possible Zenith, new-ceo scenario for both LGE and ZE is for the IMMEDIATE selection and election of an independent ceo who has the required energy, experience and grit to lead Zenith and to serve as a co-equal partner with LGE.
